The Los Angeles Lakers enjoyed a very strong and somewhat surprising win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night, beating that team 116-104.
It was a great game for numerous stars with the Lakers, especially Anthony Davis.
Speaking on Undisputed, Keyshawn Johnson said that Davis was a huge difference-maker for the Lakers and a key to their victory.
He noted that Davis looked a lot better on Monday than he did just a few nights before when the Lakers were taken down by the reigning champion Denver Nuggets.
Johnson said that Davis took advantage of the smaller Thunder team and didn’t focus on three-point shooting.
Instead, Davis did what he does best: stayed low in the post and worked alongside LeBron James to help his team win.

For the game, Davis scored 24 points and 12 rebounds, going 7-of-12 from the field.
He also earned a lot more time at the free throw line, shooting 10-of-11 from the charity stripe compared to his 3-of-4 from the line just a few nights before.
Davis was looking like a great and important component for LA’s win on Monday, but he wasn’t the only part of their victory.
D’Angelo Russell lit up and scored 26 points, including some terrific three-pointers.
Meanwhile, LeBron James scored 19 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Austin Reaves scored 16 points and went 4-of-5 from the three-point lie.
It seemed like everyone was getting in on the action during Monday’s game and it gave the Lakers yet another triumphant and impressive victory at a team that is seeded much higher in the standings.
The Lakers have been taking one step forward followed by two steps back again and again this season, so fans are hoping they can cobble together a few more wins, especially during such a challenging stretch for the team.
If Davis keeps playing like this, they might be able to do that.
