Bronny James played his first game with the Los Angeles Lakers this weekend, participating in the California Classic before the official start of the Summer League.
But Lakers fans weren’t able to get a lot of James, as he only played in one game before missing the second due to knee swelling.
Speaking on “Undisputed,” Keyshawn Johnson said he isn’t too concerned about James missing a game so soon.
He said this was James’ first taste of NBA action and the doctors are probably being overly cautious.
However, he noted that this situation would be very alarming if James was a higher draft pick.

James scored 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists during his 22 minutes on the floor.
Those aren’t jaw-dropping numbers but no one expected stunning stats, especially during the Summer League.
Instead, fans just wanted to see how James played and moved.
According to Johnson, the son of LeBron did quite well and was aggressive and not afraid during his game.
He will need to keep that up in the weeks and months ahead.
Now that he is officially a member of the Lakers, James won’t just compete with other players in the league, but he will also compete against sky-high expectations and anticipation.
Every single game, and absence, will be scrutinized.
That is what’s happening right now with this knee swelling issue.
People shouldn’t be too concerned but they are definitely interested because of James and the attention he brings.
The Lakers say James should be healthy and ready to play shortly, which means the scrutiny will fire up again soon.
