Los Angeles Lakers fans have now witnessed several games from Bronny James, the much-hyped draft pick and son of LeBron James.
James hasn’t set the scoreboard on fire during his Summer League appearances but he has shown some promise.
On Thursday’s “Undisputed,” Keyshawn Johnson commented on James’ performances, saying that he likes what he’s seen but is waiting for more.
“I want to see Bronny with the big dogs. The Summer League is just a pick-up game,” Johnson said.
He said that he isn’t going to truly judge James until the regular season gets started in a few months.
Then and only then will he be able to rule on James’ abilities.

James’ latest Summer League game saw him score just 3 points.
However, he also had 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks.
Johnson believes LA’s coaching staff told James to focus on his defense, which is a part of the young player’s game that has been celebrated for a long time.
They want him to contribute offensively but they know his true talents lay on the other end of the court.
Johnson stated that the Summer League is a place for people to test their skills, get time on the court, and make an impression on NBA teams, foreign organizations, and the G League.
It’s not a great place to really judge someone and their basketball capabilities.
Regardless, there are many fans who are closely watching everything James does.
Some people are impressed by him while others think he is far from great right now.
However, the attention and conversation around James will only grow in a few months when the regular season starts.
