The Houston Texans were projected to win three games last season.
They wound up making it all the way to the AFC Divisional Game.
Of course, plenty of things made that happen, but one could argue that most of that had to do with CJ Stroud.
Stroud proved the doubters wrong right out of the gate and was on pace to have the greatest rookie season by a quarterback this league had ever seen.
That’s why Keyshawn Johnson wouldn’t be shocked if he were to win MVP this season.
In the latest edition of Undisputed, the former star wide receiver claimed that health could be the only thing standing in his way.

He pointed out that he was a legitimate MVP candidate at one point last season before he got hurt and missed a couple of games.
Johnson believes the Texans will be good next season again, and with Stroud ranking among the league leaders in passing yards, he could easily be a candidate.
As of now, he’s trailing only Patrick Mahomes with the second-best odds to win MVP at +850.
Also, this wouldn’t be unprecedented by any means, as Mahomes and Lamar Jackson have both won MVP awards in just their second season in the league.
C.J. Stroud is one of the most promising players in the league, and he’s going to have even more weapons at his disposal, not to mention a full season under his belt, and that should be a scary thought for the rest of the league.
