The Dallas Cowboys needed a running back, so they went with a familiar face to solve that issue.
Bringing back Ezekiel Elliott was bittersweet to some fans, as they still like him, but he’s by no means the player he once was.
Nonetheless, as much as one shouldn’t expect an explosion or regularly big performances from him, former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson still believes he can be very serviceable for this organization.
Talking about Undisputed, he made a case for Elliott, who is still a starter in this league.

Of course, that doesn’t mean he’s going to give the Cowboys 30 carries a game, but he could definitely make an impact in a running back by committee.
Johnson stated that Elliott is a guy who understands Cowboys culture and what it means to play for the organization, adding that he’s someone who loves the game and will hold his teammates accountable in the locker room.
So, him being there definitely moves the needle, culture-wise, and that’s well worth a veteran minimum deal.
That’s a valid point; it’s all a matter of expectations.
No one argues that veterans are important, and Elliott most definitely earned the right to retire with the Cowboys organization.
Then again, expecting him to be their difference-maker or the guy who’s going to lead them to the playoffs is flat-out not realistic.
The fact of the matter is that the Dallas Cowboys have more questions than answers in the backfield, even after bringing Zeke Elliott back.
