The Baltimore Ravens put on a clinic Monday night.
On defense, they were all over the field and suffocated Brock Purdy, forcing five total turnovers.
On offense, they were efficient and made sure to put up points on the scoreboard every single time hey had a chance to do so.
That’s why former NFL star Keyshawn Johnson believes that win helped Lamar Jackson “lock up” the MVP award for good.
Talking on “Undisputed,” Johnson explained how Jackson is the reason why the Ravens’ offense ticks, which is not what happens with other guys with better numbers, like Purdy.

Johnson acknowledged the fact that Jackson’s numbers weren’t as impressive, and perhaps he might not have MVP-caliber stats most of the time.
However, he also states that the league has changed a lot this season, and you don’t have quarterbacks throwing for 40+ touchdowns like it used to happen back in the day.
He said that guys like Tua Tagovailoa and Matthew Stafford are likely to have more passing yards or passing touchdowns than Jackson, but they haven’t had the same impact as him, and he makes perfect sense.
Truth be told, Jackson’s impact on the offensive game has gone way beyond the stat sheet.
We already know he’s more than capable of throwing for 4,000+ yards and he’s by far the greatest scrambling QB in the game, so it’s not like he has anything to prove in that regard.
But being the best player on the best team and being the reason why that said team is the best in the league is pretty much the definition of being named MVP.
