Sacramento Kings fans have been through a lot.
From rumors of relocations to a revolving door of coaches, bad decisions in the NBA Draft, and never-ending issues, it took them 17 years to go back to the playoffs.
That’s why it means so much to the crowd attending Golden 1 Center.
Games 1 and 2 vs. the Golden State Warriors were the first-ever postseason contests at this arena, and the fans sure showed up to make up for all that lost time.
The atmosphere during Game 2 was just through the roof, with the fans giving it all and making it seem like Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
As a matter of fact, lifelong NBA coach Mike Brown claimed that he had never heard any crowd as loud as it, calling it “deafening” and stating that he was worried about his grandson’s eardrums.
“I don’t feel like I’ve ever been in a building as loud as this. It’s deafening.”

That’s a lot to say, coming from a guy who also spent years at Chase Center, one of the loudest arenas in the league as well.
But truth be told, the fans deserve this and even more.
They’ve stayed loyal to a team that hasn’t given them many reasons to be cheerful for nearly two decades, and this team sure feels like they can go toe-to-toe with anybody else in this league.
Your time has come, Kings fans.
