The Golden State Warriors have dominated the NBA over the last decade or so like no other team in the league.
The Dubs have been to six NBA Finals and ended up winning four titles.
Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green have been with the team throughout this journey.
Speaking of Thompson, he recently shared his thoughts on spending the rest of his career as a member of the Warriors, per Anthony Slater via Dru on Twitter.
“Absolutely. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. To play for one franchise, man? That’s so rare,” Thompson said.
“Absolutely. I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else. To play for one franchise, man? That’s so rare. In any sport. To play for one club is insane. It’s some real legendary stuff. Even what Udonis Haslem did. He’s revered in Miami. Locally. That’s what I cherish.” – @KlayThompson https://t.co/QXJGvq7ZmO pic.twitter.com/BMCjIKSZlj

Thompson is entering the final year of his five-year, $190 million maximum contract, which he signed in 2019.
Klay was unable to play even a single game for the Warriors for two consecutive seasons due to serious injuries.
But upon his return in 2022, Thompson helped the Warriors win an NBA championship.
The veteran guard had an individually great year during the 2022-23 season, averaging 21.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game for the Warriors.
Thompson is all set to make more than $43.2 million for the 2023-24 season, and if he fails to impress the front office, he could be on his way out of the organization.
However, knowing the importance that Thompson holds for the Warriors, he may accept a cheaper deal, just to stay with the Warriors for the rest of his career.
Can Thompson average great numbers this season and earn a max contract from the Warriors in the summer of 2024?
Or will he end up donning the jersey of another team?
