The Golden State Warriors don’t look like the team they once were.

They’ve seemed to lose their way and are even getting blown out at home, which is something that has rarely happened since Steve Kerr took the reins of the team.

It’s reached a point where the fans have actually booed the team in their past two home games.

However, Klay Thompson doesn’t seem to be too bothered about that.

When asked about it, the shooting guard claimed that he wasn’t going to lose any sleep over that (via 95.7 The Game and Legion Hoops).

“I don’t care.  You supposed to lose sleep over it?” Thompson said.

Then again, he should lose sleep over that.

Thompson doesn’t want to get on the wrong side of the fans who have stood by him through thick and thin from the very second he made it to the league, and the players do have a responsibility to the fans.

As much as they root for them, they also have every right to be held accountable.

Thompson has helped the team win four NBA championships, so he should be cherished and loved in the Bay area until the end of time, and a couple of bad seasons shouldn’t change that.

Nonetheless, he also owes it to the fans to care about it enough to have more pride and do whatever it takes to revert this situation.

Thompson has never dealt with criticism peacefully, but it’s time to take a deep look in the mirror and realize that the Warriors are losing their identity and do better.
