The Klay Thompson era has officially started for the Dallas Mavericks.
Thompson agreed to a new deal with the Mavericks recently and has appeared before the press with the team’s top brass.
According to an image shared by Courtside Buzz, Thompson was all smiles as he showed off his brand-new jersey.
Although he wore the number 11 during his years with the Golden State Warriors, Thompson will now be 31 for the Mavericks and he seems very happy about that.

This may be a major turning point in Thompson’s career.
The 34-year-old guard has already done so much during his years in the league, earning five All-Star spots, four championships, and more.
He is one of the main reasons why the Warriors became an NBA dynasty and his place in league history is secure.
However, Thompson was going through a very troubling rough patch last season, which led to him wanting to leave the Warriors and move onto a brand new team.
He is entering a franchise that has its sights set on winning a championship.
The Mavericks surprised some people by reaching the NBA Finals last month.
Although they ultimately fell short against the Boston Celtics, it is clear that their goal is to be in championship contention again next season.
Thompson could be a huge part of that, especially if he is playing like the four-time champion he is.
He will have to right the wrongs of last season and shoot much better but there is every reason to believe Thompson could be key to the Mavericks going far next season and beyond.
