The New York Knicks are back on top of the series and in control of their destiny.
Tom Thibodeau’s team made a big statement back at home, dominating the Indiana Pacers from start to finish and securing a 3-2 lead.
Unsurprisingly, the fans in New York City were incredibly hyped up, and it didn’t take long before they put their next potential rival on notice.
As shown by New York Post Sports on Twitter, the fans were chanting ‘We want Boston’ right after the win.

It’s easy to understand this spirit.
Bostonians and New Yorkers don’t like each other, and they’ve been in an everlasting feud about the greatest sports city in America.
Also, it’s been quite a while since the Knicks were this good, and their passionate fan base hasn’t gotten that many chances to celebrate this way.
Now, as for actually wanting to face the Boston Celtics, that should be an entirely different story.
Of course, as competitors, and as tough as they are, Knicks players will definitely embrace the challenge and talk about how much they want to beat the Celtics.
But from a basketball perspective, that might be the end of the line for the Knicks.
Knicks’ players are worn down, banged up, and exhausted, whereas the Celtics are well-rested and fresh.
The Celtics also have the best record in the league by a significant margin, and while they do come with a long history of underperforming in the playoffs, they might also be the last team you want to come across in a seven-game series.
