The New York Knicks are hoping to continue their success from last season into this year.

They made the Eastern Conference semifinals and showed they were ready to compete once again.

So far the Knicks have been average through 10 games.

They are 5-5 and in 10th place in the East.

But, they have plenty of time to turn things around.

Off the court, they are dealing with an interesting situation.

According to Andrew Marchand via NBACentral, the Knicks have dismissed Mark Jackson from his job at MSG and with the Knicks.

He was expected to fill in during the TV coverage of the team’s games.

But, team president Leon Rose put an end to that.

Jackson was a long-time TV commentator for ESPN.

He also played seven NBA seasons with the Knicks.

Jackson was a fan favorite for many during his time at ESPN.

It will be interesting to see where he lands next and if he hopes to continue calling games.

Despite their recent shortcomings, the Knicks are one of the most polarizing teams in the NBA.

They have the most storied arena and have plenty of celebrities at all of their games.

But, all they will be judged on is how much they win.

New York took steps in the right direction last season, but they could still use another star.

It will be interesting to see who becomes available around the trade deadline.

The Knicks should be ready to jump at any opportunity to improve their team.
