The New York Knicks are expected to be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference during the 2023-24 NBA season.

They are coming off making the Eastern Conference semifinals for the first time since the 2013 playoffs.

The center of the Knicks’ somewhat good postseason run was the duo of Julius Randle and Jalen Brunson.

While Randle has been the cornerstone player for the Knicks for years, there are still a couple of flaws in his game.

Knicks legend Charlie Ward, via The Knicks Recap on Twitter, shared that he’s not a fan of Randle’s isolation plays.

Knicks Legend .@RealCharlieWard is not a fan of Julius Randle’s isolation play. He mentions it’s hard to watch that style of play.

Ward wasn’t taking a shot at the Knicks star.

In fact, he even praised Randle’s ability to score the basketball consistently.

But what doesn’t sit well with Ward is the fact that Randle involves a lot of isolation plays in his scoring.

Ward continued to explain that he’s not a big fan of the playing style that puts the spotlight on a single player.

Instead, he prefers a strategy that involves all players on the court and where they string together great passes.

Despite Ward not being a huge fan of this playing style, it works well for Randle.

Randle averaged 25.1 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game for the Knicks last season.

He also earned the second NBA All-Star selection of his career.

Randle has established himself as one of the best scorers at his position.

But can he lead the Knicks to the NBA Finals and ultimately bring a championship to the fanbase?
