The New York Knicks have had a quiet 2023 NBA free agency so far.
While they lost a veteran like Derrick Rose to the Memphis Grizzlies, they also landed a solid player in Donte DiVincenzo.
The former Milwaukee Bucks and Golden State Warriors player is a terrific signing for the Knicks, who are trying to improve their depth.
DiVincenzo’s deal quickly made a lot of noise around the league, and one former college teammate shared his reaction on social media.
Jalen Brunson, who played with DiVincenzo at Villanova, took to Twitter to ask ‘who’ the Knicks were signing.

Of course, he was joking about it, as DiVincenzo can be a key piece for the Knicks next season.
This team made it to the second round of the playoffs this past season, and they could be one or two moves away from championship contention.
DiVincenzo is a proven winner in the league, and his addition should help.
He shared touches with Brunson and Josh Hart in college and they even won a championship together when DiVincenzo took over against Michigan in the 2018 NCAA championship game.
DiVincenzo hopes to relive those old moments in the NBA, and it seems like the Knicks want to repeat this formula to win a championship.
