After being beaten by the eighth-seeded Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, the Boston Celtics headed into the NBA offseason with the goal of improving the roster and being that much more imposing next season.
Although there was a lot of buzz about the team potentially trading Jaylen Brown to improve the roster with some new blood, the team went in another direction to keep the Jayson Tatum and Brown duo intact while adding another star into the mix.
That star turned out to be sharpshooting forward Kristaps Porzingis, who was traded to Boston by the Washington Wizards, which involved a few moving parts like longtime starter Marcus Smart being shipped to the Memphis Grizzlies.
Even though the Celtics have taken a hit defensively with their offseason moves, as they also traded Grant Williams to the Dallas Mavericks, Boston is pretty intimidating offensively if Porzingis can stay healthy throughout the 2023-24 campaign.
Porzingis is already embracing the spotlight in Boston, as he took to Instagram with the following post, via ClutchPoints.

Ironically enough, the first thing your eyes see when looking at this picture that teases Porzingis hoping to have his best season in the NBA is the bandage on his right hand.
With Porzingis dealing with a lot of injury issues over the years, that’s not a great sign to start his stint with the Celtics, but it’s incredibly early and not a problem at this point.
However, if he heads into training camp with a right-hand issue, it will be a different story as he will have brought his injury-prone ways to Boston.
