The Boston Celtics are about to begin their second round series in a number of days, playing either the Orlando Magic or Cleveland Cavaliers.
Sadly, they will be without their big man, Kristaps Porzingis, who recently suffered a calf strain and will be out for the next few weeks.
Speaking to Jared Weiss, Porzingis opened up about the injury and his recovery process.
“It will take a little bit of time, for sure. But I’m doing everything I can to speed it up because I want to be back out there as soon as possible,” he said.

Porzingis left during Game 4 on Monday, departing the court during the second quarter because of right calf tightness.
A day later, he was officially diagnosed with a strain.
That’s not good news but it could have been much worse and the Celtics have to get through a few weeks without Porzingis instead of a few months.
The injury is even more painful for the Celtics because Porzingis, who has a long history of injuries, was healthy all season long.
It was only once the playoffs started that he experienced a problem.
But Boston has been planning for something like his throughout the regular season and once Porzingis went down, backup center Al Horford was ready to step up.
Even without Porzingis, the Celtics are still the odds-on favorites to win in the second round and make their way to the Eastern Conference Finals.
If they make it that far, their talented big man should be back and ready to play.
For the season, Porzingis averaged 20.1 points and 7.2 rebounds.
Hopefully, he can contribute more numbers like that in just a few weeks.
