The Boston Celtics have started the 2023-24 season with a respectable 3-0 record.

They remain the only undefeated team in the Eastern Conference, as the storied franchise is hoping to bring championship banner number 18 to Boston.

The Celtics’ hopes of achieving that dream vastly depend on how well their summer acquisition, Kristaps Porzingis, can play during the season.

Porzingis has started the new season with great numbers, and the former Washington Wizards star sent a warning to the rest of the league, via Celtics on NBC Sports Boston on Twitter.

“Honestly, I’m still kind of working my way back into really good shape,” Porzingis said.

Porzingis claimed that fans have yet to see him at his best in a Celtics jersey.

In fact, the 28-year-old forward announced that he will get much better throughout the 2023-24 campaign.

It’s a huge claim for a player who has built a reputation for missing games due to injuries throughout his career.

Porzingis was present in 65 games for the Wizards last season, and it was the first time since his second year in the league that the former fourth-overall pick played more than 60 games in a season.

Thus far in the 2023-24 season, Porzingis has averaged 20.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 2 blocked shots over the first three games of the season.

If what Porzingis has claimed turns out to be true, then the Celtics should comfortably finish the season as the number one seed in the Eastern Conference.

On top of that, they can finally end their championship drought of 15 years by lifting the glorious Larry O’Brien trophy in the summer of 2024.
