Over the last decade or so, analytics has become a big part of professional sports and the way things are evaluated, especially when it comes to the NBA and MLB.
In fact, at this point, it has gotten a bit out of control, as some believe that the only metrics to look at to prove whether players are good or not are the analytics, which isn’t the case as, for some, the eye test can’t be beaten.
One star player in the NBA who has recently openly vented his frustration over the analytics, and all the people that believe they know it all in the world of basketball as a result of these analytics, is Washington Wizards star Kyle Kuzma.
Kuzma, who recently signed a deal with the Wizards for $100 million, took to Twitter on Thursday to let off a little steam, as he likely saw one too many analytic-focused account spewing their knowledge onto the Twitterverse.
Crazy that in the NBA smart people are now analytic guys and not people that can visually look at a hooper and say “oh that guys good”

Although it is annoying for current players and those that grew up using the eye test to evaluate players in the NBA, the analytics movement isn’t going anywhere anytime soon, especially after teams have made entire departments dedicated to assessing the game and players using analytics.
Despite that being the case, players like Kuzma can prove their worth by what they do on the basketball floor and let the analytics fans geek out on social media.
As for Kuzma, the Wizards star has an ideal situation for him in Washington to be the No. 1 guy and finally prove his worth as a potential All-Star in the years to come.
