Kyle Kuzma was once compared to the Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum.
While he is certainly not at Tatum’s level, he has turned out to be a fine NBA player.
Kuzma had a career year last season, averaging 21.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game for the Washington Wizards.
The 28-year-old has certainly improved his scoring since entering the league as the 27th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season, it seems like Kuzma is working on his playmaking ability as he reacted to a tweet showing how he’s one of the better passers in the league despite not attempting a lot of passes in the 2022-23 season.

Kuzma’s reaction was a clear message that he will focus more on his passing in the 2023-24 NBA season.
Apart from that, fans can also expect Kuzma to reach another level as a scorer, with Bradley Beal getting traded to the Phoenix Suns earlier this offseason.
Sure, Jordan Poole has arrived on the roster as the primary star of the team, but Kuzma isn’t that far behind Poole.
In fact, the Wizards showed their trust in Kuzma by awarding him a four-year, $90 million contract this summer.
Kuzma will earn an average salary of $22.5 million over the next four seasons.
Many believe that the Wizards overpaid Kuzma, but if he can improve his playmaking abilities, he can become one of the most underrated players in the NBA.
At the end of the day, the Wizards are heading toward an inevitable rebuilding phase unless Kuzma and Poole can somehow lead them to a few decent playoff runs over the next few seasons.
