The San Francisco 49ers may have lost more than just one game.
Their Monday night loss to the Baltimore Ravens was a costly one, as it also cost them Trent Williams.
The superstar OL left the game with a groin injury, and it didn’t take long before Brock Purdy got the worst of that injury.
The former Mr. Irrelevant threw four interceptions and left the game after a big sack.
Nonetheless, HC Kyle Shanahan confirms it was nothing but a ‘stinger’ and doesn’t think Purdy is going to end up missing any time because of the injury (via Ian Rapoport).
#49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said Brock Purdy was out last night because of a stinger, but believes he’ll bounce back next week.
Given that stinger and the score, Purdy stayed on the sidelines.

The Niners were down three scores late in the game, so the team decided to play it safe with their QB.
Sam Darnold entered the game and even threw for a touchdown, looking sharp and ready in the case he’s needed.
Williams’ status, on the other hand, is still up in the air, and he’ll reportedly undergo an MRI to determine the extent of the injury.
The superstar tackle has already missed time this season and has dealt with multiple injuries throughout the course of his career, and that’s an absence the team cannot afford right now.
He’s the best player at his position in the league, and the offensive line takes a massive hit when he’s not out there to protect Purdy’s blind side.
While Purdy and Christian McCaffrey have obviously put up most of the numbers, he’s been perhaps their true MVP, at least on the offensive side of the field.
