The Arizona Cardinals aren’t expected to be a powerhouse any time soon.
However, their offense should be better in the second year under HC Jonathan Gannon.
That’s not only because of the continuity that comes inherently to any process, but also because Kyler Murray will be there from the jump.
Moreover, it seems like he’s already developing a strong chemistry with one of his wide receivers.
Recently, the former No. 1 pick gushed about Michael Wilson and his work ethic, stating that he’s always ready to work and looking forward to improving and predicting a breakout season for him (via PNHNX Cardinals).
“I fully expect Mike to go off this year,” Murray said.
“I call him at 3:00am he’s there…he loves this sh*t. I fully expect Mike to go off this year.”

There will be plenty of touches available with Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown no longer in town.
And while most of those could and should go to stellar rookie Marvin Harrison Jr., Wilson might also be ready to take a leap forward.
It’s also nice to see Murray getting involved and trying to lead the younger players.
For years, even some of his teammates have called him out for not being much of a leader and not spending as much time working out as other players do.
The clock is ticking on him, as he hasn’t particularly given back all the money the Cardinals gave him with his level of production, either because of injuries or whatnot.
The Cardinals might need to address their future at the quarterback position if Murray has another subpar season in 2024.
But who knows? Perhaps they’ll shock the world with a strong season with Wilson as one of their centerpieces.
