The Los Angeles Lakers are in desperate need to turn things around during the 2023-24 NBA season.
While the fans had been patient with the team throughout the year, most fans finally lost their calm following the Lakers’ most recent defeat at the hands of the Brooklyn Nets.
Sure, the Nets have a few talented players on the roster, but they were hardly better than the Los Angeles Lakers during their recent matchup in the 2023-24 NBA season.
Speaking of the Nets this season, the Lakers are reportedly eyeing a trade for key veteran Spencer Dinwiddie ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline, as revealed via NBA Central on Twitter.

The Lakers are currently the 10th seed in the Western Conference with a 21-22 record this season.
However, a key aspect where the Lakers need to improve is the defensive end of the floor.
Along with that, the Lakers need a player who can score efficiently from anywhere on the court.
Keeping these requirements in mind, Spencer Dinwiddie certainly doesn’t quite fit them.
The 30-year-old guard is currently averaging 13.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game for the Brooklyn Nets.
On top of that, the 10-year veteran is shooting just 39.3% from the field and 32.5% from the three-point line.
All things considered, even after hypothetically trading for Dinwiddie, the Lakers wouldn’t get much better as a team this season.
