Over the last several years, there have been a lot of rumors about Zach LaVine of the Chicago Bulls.

The star player has been on the trade market numerous times but has never been sent to another team.

One franchise that has always been linked to LaVine is the Los Angeles Lakers.

But according to Jovan Buha, via Evan Sidery, the Lakers are now “unlikely to circle back on a potential trade for Zach LaVine.”

LaVine’s contract and history of injuries have made his trade market value “seemingly nonexistent,” according to the report.

This is not good news for LaVine or the Bulls.

He is still perhaps their biggest trade asset and if they want to finally start making some changes and improving their roster and chances, they need to part ways with LaVine for a big return.

But there is no denying that he has a hard time staying healthy.

Just this last season, he played in only 25 games due to another devastating injury.

With that being said, he produced 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 3.9 assists during those 25 games and looked great again.

But he is getting paid an awful lot and not playing often enough, which is a bad combination on the trade market.

Whether it be the Lakers or another team, a front office would have to agree to pay LaVine a boatload of money without assurances that he would be on the court often.

Now that the Lakers seemingly have no interest in LaVine, what other teams could step up and offer to take him?

He might be damaged goods but he will likely still find a new home in the league.

The Bulls just might have to work hard to get a deal done.
