The offseason has been something of a whirlwind for the Los Angeles Lakers.
They have been one of the most highly discussed teams during the offseason, given the team’s legacy and their performances in recent seasons.
After adding a new coach and a few new players throughout the offseason, the Lakers are hoping to give themselves a leg up on their competition heading into the 2024-2025 season.
They have already made a few key additions via the draft and free agency, but they might not be done, at least, according to Anthony Irwin’s recent report.
According to Irwin, the Lakers have reached out to several teams about key players, including to “the Washington Wizards about Kyle Kuzma.”

Kuzma started his career with the Lakers, and despite some strong performances, he was dealt to the Wizards in a deal for Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook is no longer on the team, and now, the Lakers could be realizing the error of their ways, potentially wanting him back to help grow this team even further.
LeBron James’ time in the league is limited given his age, so the Lakers are trying to do everything possible to set themselves up for an NBA Finals run.
Kuzma could certainly help contribute to the cause, and given his familiarity with the team and some of the players on the roster, this could end up being a great fit for both parties.
It will be interesting to see if the Lakers have done enough during the offseason to be the contending team they have hoped for.
