Fans of the Los Angeles Lakers are again feeling a bit of optimism on Thursday after their team beat the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday night.

The team is now 38-38 and in line to participate in next month’s play-in tournament.

This is obviously not the position that fans wanted the team to be in at this point but things are looking better than they were just a few weeks ago.

Following Wednesday’s win, head coach Darvin Ham gave some input on where his team stands.

He spoke about how much he is relying on the team’s starters but also how he is turning to other players, such as Malik Beasley, Dennis Schroder, and others.

Ham’s statements following the game show a coach who believes he has a good core of players who can go far.

He has been under pressure all season long by both the fans and the front office.

The fans have been dreading a repeat of last season when the Lakers missed the playoffs entirely.

As for the front office, they didn’t want to be the team that allowed LeBron James to miss two consecutive postseasons.

For much of the year, it didn’t appear as if much progress was being made for this team.

But the NBA trade deadline was good for them and they made some substantial and big moves.

Since then, their defense has greatly improved and they have shown far more consistency, especially with newcomers like D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, and others.

The real test lies ahead for the Lakers: the playoffs will be tough, if they make it that far.

But Ham seems calm, collected, and confident in his squad.
