The Los Angeles Lakers finally have their next head coach.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the Lakers have agreed to terms on a four-year contract with former shooting guard and analyst JJ Redick.
Redick was offered the role this morning and is currently working on building up his staff.
This is a massive move for the historic franchise.

The former National College Player of the Year at Duke was a first-round pick of the Orlando Magic in 2006.
He would go on to play for the team until 2013 before he had a brief stop with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Redick would also go on to play for the Los Angeles Clippers, the Philadelphia 76ers, the New Orleans Pelicans, and the Dallas Mavericks.
The 15-year veteran holds the single-season franchise record for three-pointers for multiple teams.
He will now be tasked with guiding the Lakers back to title contention, and the franchise has won just one title in the last 14 years.
That is not going to get it done, especially after the Boston Celtics won the latest NBA Finals, setting the record for most titles (18) in league history.
This move could likely keep Lebron James in the fold for the next few years too.
James and Redick co-hosted a podcast called Mind the Game earlier this year, which proves that they already have a good connection.
After spending the last three seasons as a color commentator for ESPN, Redick is now back in the league and has a very tall task ahead of him.
