The Los Angeles Lakers vastly improved their roster ahead of the 2023-24 season.
Taurean Prince was among the new players who signed with the Lakers this past summer.
The seven-year veteran agreed to a one-year, $4.5 million deal with the Lakers.
Prince is currently one of the top candidates to start at the power forward position for the Purple and Gold during the 2023-24 regular season.
The 29-year-old shared the importance of his impact off the ball via Spectrum SportsNet on Twitter.
“I watched a lot of the Spurs while growing up,” Prince said.

The Los Angeles Lakers may have suffered a 125-129 defeat against the Golden State Warriors, but there were a few positives about the team.
For starters, six players finished the game with double-digit scoring, including Taurean Prince.
Prince had 17 points, 1 rebound, and 1 assist while playing 20 minutes against the Warriors.
Many want Prince to be in the starting lineup, but head coach Darvin Ham seemingly skipped the question during the postgame conference.
Prince has certainly impressed the coaching staff with his performances so far, but he will only become a permanent starter for the team by performing consistently at an elite level.
The veteran forward could help the Lakers avoid a poor start to the season, just like last year when they began their campaign with a terrible 2-10 record.
Sure, the Lakers ultimately advanced until the 2023 Western Conference Finals, but it would be much better to be in great form from the beginning.
Can Prince and the Lakers be a threat in the Western Conference? Fans will find out once the new season starts.
