The Los Angeles Lakers keep adding and keeping players on the roster ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season.
After being linked with a series of high-profile names, including Kyrie Irving and Fred VanVleet, they opted to run it back with many key pieces from last season.
Rui Hachimura already signed a new deal with the team, and D’Angelo Russell has followed today.
Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Russell is getting a two-year, $37 million deal to remain with the Lakers.

Russell made an instant impact on the Lakers when he arrived from the Minnesota Timberwolves ahead of the 2023 trade deadline.
In his second stint with the Lakers, he had some great games, especially in the postseason.
Nevertheless, things changed a bit when the Denver Nuggets swept the Lakers and Russell was on the receiving end of criticism.
The rumors involving Irving increased over the past couple of weeks before the controversial guard re-signed with the Mavericks.
This is the sixth deal they have completed so far in free agency.
Newcomers Taurean Prince, Gabe Vincent, Cam Reddish, and Jaxson Hayes now wait to meet re-signings Hachimura and Russell.
The Lakers have high hopes for next season, and their current roster is looking promising at the moment.
