The Los Angeles Lakers have had a plethora of NBA legends don the iconic jersey of the Purple and Gold over the years.
The likes of Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Shaquille O’Neal have played for the Lakers during their respective careers.
However, Kobe Bryant remains arguably the biggest superstar to ever play for the Lakers.
After all, he spent his entire 20-year career playing for the team.
The franchise recently honored the late NBA legend by unveiling a statue of Bryant outside their arena.
Speaking of which, the official Twitter handle of the Lakers shared a clip of the statue on display in a recent post.

Bryant passed away in a tragic helicopter accident in 2020, and since then, the Lakers have done everything in their power to honor the legendary basketball player.
Unveiling his statue outside his former arena was among that effort.
The statue was officially revealed this Thursday, February 8, 2024, as the date resembled Bryant’s two numbers for the Lakers.
During his time with the Lakers, he led the organization to five NBA Championships.
After his incredible stint in the league, Bryant earned the respect of most fans in the league.
Today, he is considered as arguably the third-best basketball player in the history of the NBA.
Only LeBron James and Michael Jordan are considered as the two superstars who could surpass him.
