After making an incredible run to the Western Conference Finals last season, the Los Angeles Lakers are ready to get back to work during this upcoming 2023-24 NBA season with high hopes of winning a title, which would be the 18th in the franchise’s storied history.

The Lakers are less than a week away from playing in the league’s season opener against the defending NBA champion Denver Nuggets in the Mile High City, with LeBron James and company hoping to get some revenge for being swept in the Western Conference Finals by Nikola Jokic and his squad.

As the team prepares for their showdown with the defending champions next Tuesday on the road, the team is currently in Palm Springs ahead of their final preseason game against Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.

While the team was practicing on Wednesday, some lucky kids watched as James and his teammates put in work on the floor.

After practice, James and fellow superstar Anthony Davis treated the fans in attendance to autographs, which was all captured by ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

This was a kind gesture from James and Davis, who could’ve walked off the floor with a wave, which would’ve likely made the kids happy as well, but they took the time to sign some autographs before heading back to their hotel to get some much-needed rest.

Fortunately for the Lakers, they’ll have the weekend to rest up before traveling to Denver to face the Nuggets in a highly anticipated showdown between two of the league’s best teams.
