The Baltimore Ravens have struggled with their passing game for years now.
They’ve failed to develop their WRs taken in the NFL Draft, regardless of Lamar Jackson’s significant improvements as a passer.
However, as evident as his discontent with the organization was, he recently shut down the rumors about his demands for more help.
According to Jackson, he did ask the Ravens if they could pursue both Odell Beckham Jr. and DeAndre Hopkins.
Lamar Jackson said he ASKED if the Ravens could get OBJ and DeAndre Hopkins. He didn’t demand it. “That’s not how you conduct business.”

However, he claims he never made it a demand or a condition to sign a new contract extension, citing that’s not the way he conducts business, according to Sarah Ellison.
The Ravens managed to get one of Jackson’s guys.
They signed Beckham to a very lucrative deal that raised some eyebrows around the league, stealing him from the New York Jets at the eleventh hour.
OBJ struggled to get a new contract, as there were some reports of steep financial demands and doubts about his durability and ability to stay on the field after so many major injuries.
Now, he’ll be extra motivated to prove that he’s still one of the prime wideouts in this game and that he can play a full season without any setbacks.
As for Hopkins, it most definitely seemed that he was on his way out with the Arizona Cardinals, but the team has made it clear that they have no intention whatsoever of moving on from their WR1.
Then again, with them not expected to compete in 2023, that could all change sooner rather than later.
