The Baltimore Ravens have finally signed Lamar Jackson to the long-term contract he has been waiting for.

It was a long offseason of negotiations between the star and the Ravens.

But, both sides are happy that Jackson will be in Baltimore for the foreseeable future.

Jackson missed the end of last season due to a knee injury.

Yet, it appears that he is fully recovered from that.

According to Jori Epstein, when asked about his knee, Jackson said: “I’m great.”

Is Ravens QB Lamar Jackson fully medically cleared? “Yeah, I passed.”

All good with knee? “I’m great.”

Jackson also stated how he is medically cleared to play.

The injury issues for the former MVP were part of the reason why a deal was not getting done.

He has played in exactly 12 games each of the past two seasons, and that is a cause for concern.

Jackson is a dual-threat quarterback, which means he is more prone to taking hits.

Now that he is locked up long-term maybe the Ravens will ask him to use his legs less.

As an NFL player, your best ability is availability, and Jackson has not been available enough over the past two years.

The Ravens have spent most of their offseason trying to appeal to Jackson.

They wanted to add as many playmakers as possible for him to get the ball to.

Signing Odell Beckham Jr. and drafting Zay Flowers should make the Ravens far more dynamic next year.

With Jackson under center for the foreseeable future, the Ravens are going to be a team worth watching.
