It’s been a magical 2023 NFL season for Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson, and on Saturday, this continued to be the case for the dynamic signal-caller.
After getting a first-round bye as the top seed in the AFC, Jackson and the Ravens were able to come out of their divisional-round matchup against the Houston Texans on Saturday with a victory.
Baltimore’s quarterback played a gigantic role in their win over the Texans, as he not only threw for 152 yards and two touchdowns, but he also rushed for 100 yards and another two scores.
Following the Ravens’ playoff victory, it was revealed that Jackson’s performance was one that was a first in NFL history (via BaltimoreRavens.com’s Ryan Mink on Twitter).
He is the first player in NFL history to have one game with 2 passing touchdowns, 2 rushing touchdowns, 100 rushing yards, and a 100 passer rating.

Ever since he first entered the NFL back in 2018 as Baltimore’s first-round draft pick, Jackson seemed to be destined for greatness.
He wound up being named the league’s MVP after just two seasons in the NFL, and with what he has been able to accomplish during the current season, it’s believed by many that he will be awarded the second league MVP trophy of his career.
During the 2023 regular season, Jackson set new single-season career highs for completion percentage (67.2) and passing yards (3,678 yards) while also tossing 24 touchdowns and just seven interceptions.
In addition to the numbers he put up with his arm during the 2023 campaign, the Ravens quarterback also rushed for 821 yards and five touchdowns.
Jackson’s performance on the field has resulted in a ton of success for Baltimore this season, and the superstar quarterback will attempt to lead his team to even more success when they host the AFC Championship next weekend.
