Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens are one game away from playing in the Super Bowl at Allegiant Stadium, but they’ll have to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game before they can start booking plane tickets to Las Vegas.
It’ll be a tough matchup between the No. 1-seeded Ravens and a Chiefs team with a lot of playoff experience who have made the conference title game in six consecutive seasons and won the Lombardi Trophy this past season.
That idea isn’t lost on Jackson, who said Wednesday via NFL Network that he won’t overlook the Chiefs when thinking about how the Ravens can get to the Super Bowl.
“Those guys are the former Super Bowl champions,” Jackson said. “To be a champion, you gotta go through a champion.”

Jackson will go toe-to-toe with one of the best playoff quarterbacks in Patrick Mahomes, against a defense that is led by veteran defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.
Jackson himself hasn’t had a lot of postseason success, but this Ravens team might be the best he’s played with during his time in Baltimore.
The pass-catchers are great with wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr., Zay Flowers, and Rashod Bateman as well as tight end Isaiah Likely, while tight end Mark Andrews could return after he suffered a bad ankle injury during the regular season that required surgery.
The Chiefs may look like weaker versions of themselves this year, but they still found a way to advance to the AFC title game once more behind the same players who’ve done it before.
Now, it’s on Jackson to pull off the win.
