The most anticipated matchup in the NFL heading into Week 16 will be Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens going on the road to face the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium in what many believe could be a Super Bowl preview between the league’s two best teams.
The winner of this showdown between heavyweights in the Bay Area will likely be considered to be the NFL’s best team and the favorite to win it all once the NFL playoffs get underway in a few weeks.
Both teams are playing at an extremely high level right now, with this game being a true test to see which of these two heavyweights is ready to go the distance.
Ahead of the matchup with the 49ers, which will get underway on Christmas Day, Jackson was asked about this game being a potential Super Bowl preview, and he dismissed the notion because he’s concentrating on now rather than down the road if the team makes it to the big game via Keenan.
“Super Bowl is February, we are in December now. We gotta focus on Monday night,” Jackson said.

Clearly, Jackson doesn’t want to get rattled by making this game out to be bigger than it is, even though it is a statement game and the NFL MVP award might be on the line.
Brock Purdy and Jackson are currently neck and neck when it comes to the regular-season award, and a big performance for one of those two could swing voters with only two games left on the schedule for both teams after this heavyweight battle.
Even though Jackson is focused on the now, this game will be a must-watch for NFL fans, with the outcome bound to get some conversations started about which team is the league’s elite right now.
