In the words of TB12, you only get one big, emotional retirement… so, on that note…I’m thankful for all the memories, family and friends I made throughout my career. It was one hell of a ride and I enjoyed every min! 12

Aldridge got his start in the league with the Blazers, where he quickly became one of the most exciting players in the NBA.

He was a member of the All-Star team for five consecutive years and eventually made his way over to the Spurs, where he kept finding success and became even more of a team leader.

Following his time with the Spurs, Aldridge traveled up to the Nets but experienced plenty of injury troubles as his age and physicality caught up with him.

He briefly retired from the game before due to a medical issue but was then cleared to return to the Nets, although his time on the court was greatly diminished.

Now he is again saying goodbye to the league.

Aldridge will be able to look back on a career he can be proud of as he is very well-respected by players, coaches, and fans.

The 37-year-old will most definitely garner a lot of consideration for the NBA Hall of Fame in the future, a true testament to his amazing basketball skills.
