Right-handed pitcher Lance Lynn got off to a wonderful start of his Los Angeles Dodgers career.
A deadline acquisition from the Chicago White Sox, Lynn proceeded to throw five consecutive starts with three earned runs allowed or fewer.
He looked like a completely different pitcher from the one who had posted a 6.47 ERA in Chicago.
Then, all of a sudden, he turned back into the homer-prone hurler he had been with the Sox.
His sixth and seventh outings with a Dodgers uniform were very similar: fewer than five innings, seven runs or more, three homers allowed in each one.
Just like that, he had surrendered 15 earned runs and six home runs in a span of two outings.
He also accumulated just two strikeouts between the two games.
On Tuesday, however, he made sure to ease the minds of some desperate Dodgers fans: he completed seven strong innings with just two earned runs and, most importantly, only one home run.
“Lance Lynn tonight: 7 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 2 BB, 3 Ks, 111 pitches, 25 CSW%. His ERA is 5.94. Gave the Dodgers the length they needed,” Dodgers insider Fabian Ardaya tweeted.

After not clearing five frames in his last two starts, Lynn proved he can bounce back, make adjustments, and rise up to the occasion.
He held a very solid San Diego Padres lineup in check, and then rookie reliever Kyle Hurt came in to finish the job.
Lynn has had his highs and lows, but he has been much better in LA than the version of himself he showed in Chicago this year.
