The Los Angeles Clippers are facing a key offseason.
James Harden and Russell Westbrook could all leave, and the same goes for Paul George.
Needless to say, George’s decision looms the largest.
Most people thought he would sign a contract extension shortly after Kawhi Leonard got his deal done, but apparently, both parties are far apart in terms of his value.
That’s why he’s expected to decline his player option for next season and test out free agency.
Nonetheless, DraftKings Sportsbook still has the Clippers as his likeliest destination for next season (Via Evan Sidery).
The Warriors’ odds to land Paul George on @DKSportsbook dropped from +3000 to +600 overnight.
Current odds with a decision on George’s player option expected to arrive in the next few days:
Clippers = -280
Sixers = +500
Thunder = +500
Warriors = +600 pic.twitter.com/PD2xL6RgAl

However, it’s worth noting that the Golden State Warriors’ odds to land him went from +3000 to +600 overnight.
The Philadelphia 76ers and Oklahoma City Thunder are tied for the second-highest odds at +500 odds.
The New York Knicks are also expected to be in the mix for George’s services, but the Sixers are reportedly going to be his most aggressive suitor.
George’s family and camp are based in California, and that’s a big factor to weigh in when making such a major career decision, especially at this point in his career.
Then again, on the other hand, he also knows his championship window might be closing soon, at least as a star player, so he could also opt to pursue a championship while he still can.
Whatever the case, he could become the most sought-after player in the NBA offseason, and his decision about his player option could lead to a major ripple effect around the league.
