There is no doubt that Nikola Jokic is one of the best players of this generation.
Jokic proved that last season when leading the Denver Nuggets to their first NBA Championship in franchise history.
Moreover, Jokic has already won two MVP awards in his career.
While Jokic is having yet another phenomenal season, many believe that Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic deserves the honor this season.
Jokic has averaged 26.3 points, 12.2 rebounds, and 9.0 assists per game, while Doncic has put up 34.3 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 9.6 assists per game.
When comparing their stats, Doncic undoubtedly has a slight edge.
But at the end of the day, Jokic’s Nuggets are currently the fourth seed in the Western Conference as compared to Doncic and the Mavericks being the eighth seed, and it could play a role in the final ballots for the MVP award.
