The Los Angeles Lakers have already made alterations this summer by hiring JJ Redick as their new head coach.
But they may not be done yet and could make even more changes in the weeks ahead.
According to a new report from Sam Amick, via NBACentral, both LeBron James and Anthony Davis want the Lakers to go “all in” with plans to bring another elite player to the team.
“If the franchise cornerstones had their way, league sources say, the Lakers would prove their desire to win this week by going all-in for another elite player,” Amick wrote.

Who do James and Davis consider elite and will the Lakers listen to them?
There are a few potential targets that the Lakers could look to, including either Trae Young or Dejounte Murray of the Atlanta Hawks.
Other people mention players like Donovan Mitchell when they talk about potential recruits for the Lakers.
But just because the team’s best players want more elite talent on the roster doesn’t mean it’ll happen.
First of all, the Lakers are strapped for cash and assets so it’s not entirely clear how they could make this sort of acquisition work.
They would have to give up a lot, perhaps too much.
Players like Rui Hachimura, D’Angelo Russell, and Austin Reaves would probably have to be attached to any package to land an All-Star elite star.
Would that really be worth it for the Lakers or would they deplete their roster?
Lakers fans remember when the team went all in for Russell Westbrook a few years ago and that didn’t end well.
So perhaps James and Davis’ wishes should be ignored.
