Lebron James Calls Out Media Over Joel Embiid’s Injury

The Philadelphia 76ers are about to lose Joel Embiid for a number of games as he deals with an injured lateral meniscus in his left knee.

Embiid’s injury comes after he received a ton of negative attention for missing previous games due to other injuries.

But some people feel that Embiid was pressured to get back on the court because of bad press for sitting out of games.

LeBron James is one of those people.

James hopped on Twitter Friday morning to take multiple organizations and people to task.

James and others think that a number of factors contributed to Embiid coming back into the game, which led to his serious injury.

Many people are upset about the NBA’s new rule that says players need to participate in 65 games in order to win end-of-season awards.

Others are angered by the multiple analysts and writers who questioned Embiid and his number of missed games so far this season.

Of course, Embiid also just wanted to be back with his team so he could help them win, especially as they have slipped down a few spots in the Eastern Conference rankings.

Whether it be because of external pressure or his own desire to win, Embiid’s return resulted in him getting hurt again.

James believes that people need to show the reigning MVP more respect and allow him the time off that he needs.
