Even after 21 years in the NBA, LeBron James was still a force of nature at the Paris Olympics.

Not only did he walk away with a gold medal, but James was also a crucial part of every single game for Team USA.

Jason Timpf, via Legion Hoops, dug into the numbers and discovered that James shot 90% at the rim in the Olympics.

He went 27-of-30 from the rim during the big games, which is an amazing stat for anyone with such fierce international competition.

Fun fact: LeBron James shot 90% (27-for-30 FG) at the rim in the Olympics, per @_JasonLT.

James has always been an expert at driving through defense and carving a path for himself to the basket.

Even as he gets older, it’s one of his biggest and most impressive talents.

When looking at his stats, it’s easy to see that James is taking fewer shots as he gets older.

His field goal and three-point attempts have dipped a bit over the last several seasons.

In fact, his 17.9 field goal attempts in 2023-24 were his lowest since 2013.

This is a sign that James is being much pickier about the shots he takes, partly because it takes a bigger toll on his body.

Driving to the rim is usually a sure thing for James and it’s always been that way.

He was doing everything he could to help Team USA during their time in Paris and that included relying more on pushing to the bucket rather than taking outside shots.

James understands his skill set and knows what he’s best at, which is why we saw him fighting to the rim so much in the Olympics.
