The Los Angeles Lakers weren’t even close to making the NBA Finals this season.
It wasn’t much of a surprise, though, as they flirted with the Play-In Tournament for most of the campaign.
That’s why LeBron James will get a full summer to rest and restore his body, which is something that didn’t use to happen very often, but that has become a trend for years now.
With that in mind, renowned comedian Kevin Hart poked fun at him for not being still in contention, calling him out during a stream and asking at what time he would play on Wednesday (via ClutchPoints).
Kevin Hart: “What time are you playing on Wednesday?”
Bron: “They haven’t sent me the schedule yet. [I will] let you know… I’m playing in Game 8.”
Kevin: “It’s LeBron James. Of course he’s in the Finals.”

LeBron jokingly replied that he would suit up for Game 8, to which Hart claimed that he should be in the NBA Finals because he’s LeBron James.
The four-time NBA champion dominated the Eastern Conference almost at will for a decade.
Still, his record on the biggest stage is far from impressive, and that’s one of the reasons why some of his detractors will never consider him to be the greatest player to ever do it.
Whatever the case, it’s hard to envision the Lakers getting back to the NBA Finals any time soon.
Dan Hurley turned down generational money to be their next coach, and they’re now in scramble mode and running out of feasible or proven options.
James still needs to make a decision about his future and the Olympics are also getting closer, so he might have bigger things going on in his mind than the NBA Finals right now.
