LeBron James is once again controlling the news cycle as the NBA trade deadline approaches.
James posted a cryptic tweet with an hourglass emoji and has been all over the news ever since.
People speculate that he wants to leave the Los Angeles Lakers, and others think he’s getting them to trade most of the roster as his teams usually do.
Whatever the case is, James recently admitted that he still doesn’t know what he’s going to do with his player option for next season.
With that in mind, reporters asked him whether he would consider playing for the New York Knicks, to which he admitted that he’s had that thought in his career (via NBA Central).
“I’ve had that thought in my career.”

Notably, this isn’t much of a surprise, as he had already admitted this earlier in his career.
He was reportedly considering both the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls at the time when he was a free agent, but wound up going to the Miami Heat instead.
The Knicks haven’t shown any interest in LeBron ever since that moment, but they would definitely welcome him to MSG with open arms.
The franchise has been through a lot and has failed to get back to the NBA Finals in three decades, and the fans definitely deserve better.
Now, whether he’s just trying to use them as leverage or will actually consider leaving Sunny California to play in NYC’s blistering cold remains to be seen.
