LeBron James is routinely lauded as one of the best players in NBA history.

Not only has James been successful in the playoffs and the NBA Finals, but his career accolades continue to pile up, making him extremely decorated in many ways.

He holds many impressive statistics, including the most career points in league history, a title that some say will never be broken.

When compared to any other active player in the league right now, James holds another staggering mark as it pertains to minutes played.

As StatMuse recently called out on Twitter, James has the most career minutes played of any active player, with 68,456.

For comparison, the next three players, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant, and Rusell Westbrook, have 48,758, 45,865, and 43,595, respectively.

Most minutes played among active players (including playoffs):

68,456 — LeBron

45,865 — KD
43,595 — Russ
43,214 — Harden
40,830 — DeMar

40,487 — Lowry

This indicates that not only has James played a significant amount of seasons in the NBA, but for the most part, he has remained healthy to stay on the court and provide valuable minutes for his teams.

James’ career has already been an anomaly in many ways, and this statistic is another example of why he’s one of the best to ever do it.

His minute totals will continue to climb as long as he is in the league, yet another accolade that will be difficult for other players to replicate in the future.

It will be interesting to see how many records James will hold when his career is said and done, and if any other players can come close to his legendary totals.
