LeBron James is an Olympic gold medalist once again after Team USA beat France at the Paris Olympics this weekend.
That’s a major feat for any NBA star but it’s even more special for James.
According to Courtside Buzz, James is the first player in Men’s Olympic basketball history to win a gold medal in three different decades.
James claimed the gold in 2008 in Beijing, in 2012 in London, and finally in Paris just days ago.

Winning a single gold medal is a historic achievement but doing it three times in three different decades is literally unheard of.
What makes this accomplishment even more remarkable is the fact that James was a crucial part of every team he was on.
Even at 39 years old, James was a major component of this year’s Team USA and helped them win gold.
Most players his age would be a non-factor and would mostly be on the bench but James was front-and-center during every game and ended up being named MVP.
Some fans are disappointed that James didn’t play in more Olympics during his career but he’s had an impact every time he suited up for America.
This was most certainly James’ last time at the Olympics because he will probably be retired by the time 2028 rolls around.
James is now a three-time gold medalist in three different decades.
Will any Team USA player ever be able to surpass that?
Other people will win more gold medals than James but there is a chance no one does it like he did.
