Dwyane Wade is the greatest player to ever don the Miami Heat uniform, and it’s not even close.
He had a remarkable career even when he left South Beach, and it’s nice to see that he’s finally where he was always supposed to be: In the Hall of Fame.
Wade had an emotional and quite special moment during his enshrinement ceremony, standing side by side with his father, who couldn’t help but break down and shed some tears of joy.
That’s why LeBron James — who happens to be one of Wade’s closest friends and former teammates — took to his Instagram story to react to such a heartwarming scene (via Kit Guinhawa).

Wade and LeBron go a ways back, so this comes as no surprise.
They had known each other since they entered the league as two of the most hyped prospects in that legendary class of 2003, with James going No. 1 overall, and Wade somehow slipping all the way to No. 5.
They teamed up for the national team and kept bonding for years before finally joining forces with the Miami Heat.
Together, they led the organization to four straight trips to the NBA Finals, winning back-to-back championships in the meantime.
James later tried to run it back by recruiting Wade to join him on the Cleveland Cavaliers, but that stint was short-lived as he requested to be traded back home to South Beach.
Needless to say, it was still all good between both parties after that, and their bond will forever be bigger than basketball.
