The Los Angeles Lakers won a big game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night.
The Californian team was on a tear from the very beginning, taking a big lead early in the 1st quarter that lasted all game long.
LeBron James had a solid outing, posting 25 points, grabbing nine rebounds and dishing six assists.
After the game was over, the King was asked if his performance made a point against Dillon Brooks.
James shut that down, making it clear that he’s not making statements anymore.
LeBron James: “What type of statement I made? I’ve been doing this too long… I don’t need to make statements.”

“I’ve been doing this too long. I’ve made enough statements,” James said when asked if he was trying to prove something with his play. “No. We had an opportunity to come home and play well on our home floor, and we did that. No statement was made. We just wanted to play well and got a win. And we want to try to do that in Game 4, as well. But I don’t need to make statements.”
Over his 20-year career, James has starred in big moments, and he’s already done too much to quiet the competition.
James stated that he’s been involved in a series of situations with other players and this isn’t something he’s entertaining anymore.
After going at it with Lance Stephenson, Draymond Green, Joakim Noah and others, James knows this is another day in the office.
If this game showed anything it’s that the Lakers are a serious threat to the Grizzlies.
They had Ja Morant back and not even his 45 points could stop the Lakers from taking this game.
James showed the way for his team, who played very aggressively from the get-go.
As for Brooks, he missed some shots that compromised the Grizzlies’ chances to get back at the Lakers.
This result meant the Lakers took a 2-1 lead in this series and keep the home-court advantage.
Now, the Grizzlies will have to turn things around on Monday if they want to keep their chances alive.
LeBron James remains an incredible playoffs performer and this isn’t the end for him.
The Grizzlies need to make big adjustments to prevent going down 3-1 next game.
