Not so long ago, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James went through one of any father’s biggest nightmares.

His eldest son, Bronny, suffered a cardiac arrest during practice at USC.

And even though he was rushed to the hospital and was out of the ICU soon, we still don’t know any updates about his condition.

With that in mind, TMZ recently reported that James and Bronny flew all the way to Minnesota to visit Mayo Clinic to seek answers about what happened to the young hooper.

Bronny had never suffered any similar health issues, and while that may not be his No. 1 priority at the moment, his future as a professional athlete is now in question.

He’s currently ranked as the 19th-best prospect in his class, according to ESPN, and was heavily expected to enter the NBA after one season with the Trojans.

USC’s male basketball team is currently in Europe getting ready for some matchups, with Bronny obviously not expected to partake in any of their activities for the foreseeable future.

James has repeatedly talked about his desire to team up with his firstborn in the NBA, and he even aligned his current contract to be in a prime position to do so.

He’s got a player option for next season, and could simply opt out of it and become an unrestricted free agent to sign with whichever team takes Bronny in the NBA Draft.

Of course, that’s assuming Bronny is out of danger and able to pursue his promising career.
