It’s crazy to think that at least half of the players in the league weren’t born or were just babies when LeBron James made his NBA debut.
The fact that he continues to stay relevant and put up big numbers — albeit on losing efforts and mostly in fourth quarters — is remarkable and almost unprecedented.
Outside of James, only Kareem Abdul-Jabbar had been able to be so productive so late in his career.
And just like Kareem, James has also tried to leave a legacy off the court with his charitable and philanthropic work.
That’s why Philadelphia Eagles star Jalen Hurts was so excited and humbled after getting a chance to meet him when the Philadelphia 76ers hosted the Los Angeles Lakers last week.
Talking about it, Hurts claimed that he was excited about finally having the opportunity to meet him, especially for his dad, as he watched him grow and become the legendary athlete he is nowadays.
James took to Twitter to show him love and respect and thank him for the kind words.

James continues to add to his legendary résumé every single time he sets foot on the court, adding to his tally of minutes played and points scored, and it will take a long while before someone is even close to taking those records down.
Whether he’s the greatest player of all time or not is an entirely different debate, but there’s absolutely no doubt that James should be a part of the conversation as one of the most influential and dominant players of all time, and you know you’re a legend when even other superstar athletes are starstruck to meet you.
